Overview

Nan & Co is a charming Western restaurant tucked along Jalan PJU 1a/5 in Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, offering a comforting blend of Malaysian-inspired flavors with classic Western dishes. Positioned in a modest roadside setting, the space is cozy yet limited, making it ideal for casual lunches rather than large group dinners.

The menu highlights reflect a diverse selection that caters well to Western cuisine enthusiasts who seek both familiarity and a local twist. Signature dishes like the Grilled Chicken Chop come glazed with a tender, juicy finish, accompanied by a flavorful black pepper gravy that elevates the experience. The Chicken Alfredo Pasta stands out, noted for its generous chicken portions and creamy sauce with an option to adjust spice levels. This customization reflects the brand’s sensitivity toward diverse spice preferences, making it accessible to a wider audience. Seafood lovers will appreciate the Seafood Aglio Olio—a balanced, non-greasy dish that avoids overpowering oiliness and brings a fresh twist to a classic Italian favorite.

One element that emerges from customer feedback is the unique seasoning, particularly in sides such as the corn, which presents a balanced mix of sweet, salty, and peppery notes—adding a subtle but memorable complexity to the plate. The Fish 'N' Chips and Mushroom Carbonara also appear as worthwhile options for those craving a hearty yet familiar meal.

Service at Nan & Co tends to be prompt, with food typically arriving within 15 to 20 minutes, enabling a smooth dining experience despite the small venue. However, the outdoor seating exposed during sunny hours impacts comfort levels slightly, indicating the venue’s informal and straightforward setup rather than a polished dining environment.

Targeting local diners and visitors craving Western fare infused with Malaysian character, Nan & Co manages to deliver satisfying portions and thoughtful flavors without pretense. Although some minor remarks surface, such as occasional over-oiliness in pasta or glaze discrepancies on sauces, the overall experience leans toward fulfilling and friendly.

For those searching for a down-to-earth restaurant with robust portions, a hint of spice customization, and a menu that bridges Western classics with local tastes, Nan & Co presents itself as a promising choice in the Ara Damansara food scene.

Our first time here. We came around 12pm on Friday and there is no queue. The place is comfortable. Service is fast for us, we only waited around 15-20 mins. Portion is big filled with beef and lamb everything tasted good, but please request for less oil when you order the spaghetti. The spaghetti sauce is so oily so it is better to let them know beforehand.

We got there by lunch hour and we didn't have to wait for long for food. For pasta section (not sure about the rest), you'll be given option whether to increase the spice level (there's 2 level of spiciness) and there's also original. I ordered chicken Alfredo with a 'level 1 spicy' and as a person who has a terrible spice tolerance, it's pretty tasty. The portion is huge and they aren't afraid to put huge amount of chicken. My sister went for beef carbonara with a 'level 2 spiciness' and she said it's a little too spicy for her (usually she's into spicy food but idk what's wrong with her). She isn't really a fan of a huge amount of chilli being put in the carbonara. Other than that, her experience was similar to mine. My mum ordered chicken chop. The chicken is grilled and glazed with mushroom sauce (sauce were kinda bland). The sides were corn (yummy) and mashed potatoes (not too yummy). The staffs from the stalls next door would also come to our table and gave their menu, which is fine but there was this auntie that came to our table without telling us she's from next stall and asked us what we would like to order for a drink. It was kind of off-putting and felt like we've been forced to buy from her..... Not trying to bring her business down or anything...
